Portrait Session with Jorge Webb Icaza of Bike Haus | Tampa Branding Photography

Jorge | Owner of Bike Haus

Meet Jorge

Every once in a while you meet someone who just feels like an old friend from the start. That’s exactly what it’s like meeting Jorge Webb Icaza. He’s one of those people with an easy smile and a genuine energy that makes you feel at home right away. Jorge owns Bike Haus, a bike repair shop he runs out of his garage in Tampa, Florida. After spending some time living in Barcelona, Spain, he recently took the leap to go full time with his business, putting his heart into helping Tampa cyclists keep rolling.

Why This Shoot Mattered

As a freelance photographer myself, I know how exciting and nerve-wracking it can be to go out on your own without the security of a steady paycheck. That’s why I wanted to photograph Jorge, not just to get him some updated portraits, but also to create images he can use to promote Bike Haus. Professional portraits are a powerful way to help a brand or service feel more approachable and authentic online, and Jorge’s personality really shines through in these shots.

More Than a Bike Repair Shop

What makes Bike Haus unique is Jorge’s personal touch and convenience. He doesn’t just repair bikes out of his garage, he also offers mobile bike repair, picking up and dropping off bikes for his customers. That level of service is rare, and it makes life easier for Tampa’s busy cycling community. On top of that, Jorge really knows his craft. He even showed me a bike frame he welded himself while living in Spain, proof that his skills go way beyond simple repairs.

Building Community Through Cycling

Jorge isn’t just running Bike Haus, he’s also deeply involved in Tampa’s cycling community. Every Friday at 9am, he leads a group ride called Slonuts that starts at Spaddy’s Coffee in Seminole Heights and wraps up at Supernatural Food and Wine in Downtown Tampa. It’s the kind of grassroots community building that makes Tampa Bay such a fun place to live and ride, and Jorge plays a big part in keeping that energy alive.

Supporting Small Business in Tampa Bay

Bike Haus is more than just a repair shop. It’s Jorge’s way of sharing his love for cycling with others. Fun, approachable, and built on real relationships, it’s a perfect reflection of who he is. I wanted his portraits to capture that same vibe. Tampa Bay has such a strong community of small business owners, and it’s always an honor to help a friend show up confidently with professional images that match their personality.

Final Thoughts

Working with Jorge and Bike Haus reminded me why I love doing portrait and branding photography in Tampa. It’s not just about taking photos , it’s about telling stories, supporting local businesses, and helping people show up in a way that connects with their community. Whether it’s a product shoot, a branding session, or portraits like Jorge’s, I love helping Tampa businesses put their best image forward.
